Today congressional democrats along with the White House are discussing the possibilities of a 15 billion dollar bailout. Who needs this kind of money right now? American automakers, GM, Chrysler and Ford.
This money, if it should be given, will be in the form of loans. This is how America is operating now, loaning billions of dollars to companies who in return lend out billions of dollars to consumers of their products. If these companies need 15 billion dollars how are they going to repay the government. That will take decades to repay and quite frankly I don’t think they will be able to repay without having to tax everyday Americans.
Am I missing something here? What ever happened to making money off of products. Every company that has a business plan of issuing loans as part of their profit is actually losing money and are in need of a bailout.
Is this fair? I don’t think its fair for hard working Americans to sit back and watch our government bailout companies left and right while consumers are having to file for bankruptcy everyday.
I’m in my twenties and I am tired of seeing bailouts already. People look at my generation for financial help because in just a few years we are the ones that will have to clean up this mess. What will we get in return, probably nothing, not even social security. Thats why i’m saving for my own retirement, i’m not looking for the government to bail me out or to take care of me and my family.
I suggest you get out of debt as soon as you can, and start saving for retirement now.
