Just this past week I received a letter in the mail that said the IRS will be mailing stimulus payments as early as May to 130 Million Americans who have paid their taxes. It looks like my wife and I are going to receive $1,200 because we filed jointly and we do not have any kids. The good thing is we’re debt free so I can actually keep the check instead of having to pay debt. So with our 2007 tax refund, this will bring the two totals to $3,600. That makes me a happy camper. See when you are debt free and don’t have any payments, it’s like you give yourself a pay raise. We are currently saving for six months of expenses. We will accomplish this by the end of the month.
