Selling Back Textbooks

Are you a student? Maybe a parent of a student and you are looking to ways to pay for textbooks. I know first hand how to make it through college without any debt.

You see you may be able to receive financial aid but the funds will go straight to the financial aid office to be applied to your tuition. But what about textbooks? You are on your own. Here is how I purchased all my textbooks during college.

First I would email my professor 2-3 weeks before the first day of class and ask for the class syllabus. (If you cannot reach the professor ask someone at the school, the secretary at the college of business for example).

Once I had the syllabus I would look for the required books that I needed for the course. Most had the ISBN number provided which made buying books easier for me. I then would go online to Half.com and enter the ISBN number when searching for textbooks. I would buy the cheapest book that was posted. I did this every semester for every book that I needed. I saved a ton of money.

It gets better. Then at the end of the semester, I would sell my textbooks right away, I mean as soon as I finished my final exam. Why? Because books get outdated fast in college, I mean one semester might use one version and the next semester its a different version which depreciates the book from the previous semester.

I did this every year for every semester. It is like recycling textbooks. So go online and try to sell your books. Even if they are not related to college.
